Stafford on His First Day as a Detroit Lion

Detroit Lions Matthew Stafford was very happy in his first practice as a quarterback for Detroit Lion and it is evident that he is glad that he is back on the football practice field and be part of a team.
The practice of the rookies was open to the media after the draft which drew an endless debate over Stafford who is leading in the draft this year. This day was the very first day that there were a lot of people had actually seen Stafford throw, and it is an event worth seeing.
On his first day, although with a little nervousness on his first day on the field, he threw the ball with his arm strength no matter where the ball is supposed to and after settling down a bit he throw balls better. This is just but normal for a first practice of a rookie according to the head coach Jim Schwartz.
Schwartz is pleased that he was seeing the Stafford that he saw before the draft. He was glad that the quarterback he saw was what he expected of him with good footwork and an excellent release. Stafford felt that Louis Delmas was the first pick in the second round because Delmas would be the first person who would intercept his passes. Although Delmas came close to intercepting one of his passes, he just came close but never intercepted one.
According to Delmas, he may have underestimated what Stafford can do, however Stafford truly is something, and that he is a great quarterback. Stafford knows how the play goes and he has that outstanding zip on the ball.
Stafford may have sought the biggest attention in the weekend and will be getting more next time but he will be under a new situation come May 18. However one thing that Schwartz stresses among his players is to take things one day at a time.
